Rosseau, Muskoka, Ontario

Description

With sweeping curved roof forms, this spacious estate introduces the mountain modern aesthetic to the Muskoka Lakes region. Located on a historic site at the northern edge of Lake Rosseau, the residence rests on a bench of Canadian Shield granite.

Locally sourced granite is used for the structure’s rich stone veneer, pavers, and retaining walls. A natural stone turret and other historic elements on the property are thoughtfully integrated into the site design. The renovated boathouse at the water’s edge harmonizes with the new structure and now functions as a luxurious spa and relaxation space.

The new home’s artful floor plan and strategic window placement capture stunning views of the historic Rosseau Lighthouse and shoreline to the south.

Abundant indoor-outdoor living spaces include a three-season Muskoka room, outdoor kitchen, patio, and infinity edge swimming pool that offers dramatic water-beyond-water perspectives of the lake.
