Kayla is an Architectural Designer and Interior Designer at Kelly & Stone Architects, bringing a holistic, detail-driven approach to custom residential design. She began her career in interior design before earning a degree in Interior Architecture from California State University, Sacramento. After completing her degree, Kayla returned to Truckee and spent 5+ years working as an architectural designer, building a strong foundation in the custom residential field. Today, she works fluidly across both interiors and architecture, creating cohesive spaces that balance structure, materiality, and livability.

Having grown up in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Kayla has always considered the mountains home. This deep connection to place strongly influences her design sensibility and passion for creating site-responsive, unique spaces. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her snowboarding, backpacking, hiking, or adventuring in the outdoors. She also loves traveling to new places, continually drawing inspiration from how people experience architecture and interiors across different cultures and environments.
