Sarah is passionate about place-based design, energy efficiency, and enhancing lifestyles through architecture.

Prior to pursuing a career in architecture and joining KS|a’s Truckee studio, Sarah worked in corporate finance for 9 years, helping establish strategic finance processes, seeing a local Santa Cruz startup through an acquisition, and later joining the Google Cloud finance team.

Sarah received her Master of Architecture degree from Tulane University and enjoyed seeing how the architecture of New Orleans enhanced the social atmosphere of the local community.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Sarah cares about designing with the construction process in mind and participated in Tulane’s design-build program, building a local home from start to finish during the final year of her studies.

Originally from Northern California, Sarah loves backpacking, hiking, surfing, gardening, and building things in her spare time.  She recently purchased a rough fixer upper in Truckee with her fiancé and has enjoyed seeing their hard work bring a home back to life.
