This project is located in North Routt County on Willow Creek Pass. Largely an economy of means, this project was built for less than $90 per square foot and represents about 2 years of Tim’s time performing many of the trades himself. The thermal envelope is fantastically efficient, being constructed from structural insulated panels, and the roof is supported by structural timber and steel trusses. Tim uses wood for the primary heat source but runs the hydronic heat in the stained concrete slab when feeling lazy. The counter tops are also concrete, the island weighing in at 460 pounds.
