Lake Panorama

Lake Panorama, Iowa

Description

The building masses shift and the rooflines angle to capture views of the lake. The composition is driven by orientation, with each form responding to the landscape and lake beyond.

A palette of wood, metal, and stone siding is paired with metal roofing to create a grounded and refined exterior character. The materials are organized to emphasize the shifting volumes and layered massing.

The building steps down the site toward the lake, following the natural grade and extending the living spaces toward the water’s edge. This approach reinforces the connection between the architecture and the shoreline while maintaining clear separation between levels.
